Aviator Golf Balls: Are They Good?
Aviator golf balls are a type of golf ball that is designed to provide optimal performance and distance for golfers of all skill levels.
These balls are made with high-quality materials and advanced technology to deliver superior ball flight and distance off the tee.
Aviator Golf Balls Review: Are They Any Good?
Construction
One of the key features of aviator golf balls is their construction. Most aviator balls are made with a two-piece design, which consists of a solid inner core and a softer outer layer.
The inner core is typically made of a harder, more durable material such as Surlyn or ionomer, which provides the ball with a high level of compression and energy transfer.
The outer layer, on the other hand, is made of a softer material such as urethane or balata, which helps to improve feel and control around the green.
In addition to their construction, aviator golf balls are also designed with specific aerodynamic features to improve their performance in flight.
These features can include dimples, grooves, and other surface patterns that help to reduce drag and increase lift, resulting in longer, more accurate shots.
Some aviator balls also have a low compression rating, which allows golfers with slower swing speeds to generate more distance off the tee.
Durability: Good But Not Great
Another important aspect of aviator golf balls is their durability. These balls are made to withstand the rigors of the golf course and are resistant to scuffing, cracking, and other forms of wear and tear.
This means that they can hold up to multiple rounds of play, making them an economical choice for golfers who play frequently.
Who Makes Aviator Golf Balls?
Well, my research led nowhere. I couldn’t find any publicly-acclaimed brand behind the balls. So, I’m assuming they were manufactured in China and released into the market.
If you’re wondering where you can get them, I’ll be covering that further in this review. Keep reading…
Aviator Golf Balls Reviews
Generally, there are reservations about these golf balls. Moreover, the reviews are more negative than positive with most being reluctant to try them out.
Especially considering the price tag on the balls. The balls are also not popular, which makes the matter worse. This will be short but I have a longer version below:
Should You Buy These Golf Balls
For one, these golf balls are not popular at all. You won’t find much information about them online.
Neither would you be able to uncover reviews or tests from pro/amateur golfers who have tested them. As a result, it’s difficult to say the balls are effective.
Another thing worth mentioning is the price tag. Compare to regular, well-known golf balls, the Aviator golf balls are quite expensive. You get a pack containing 24 balls for $20.
It would seem like a deal but many of those who buy and play them have nothing but complaints. Of course, there will be some who will find luck with them, but those will be beginner golfers.
If you’re already experienced and looking for solid balls to play on the golf, you might want to stick with Callaway or Taylormade, or Srixon.
The balls from these brands will be slightly more expensive, but you can expect predictable performance from them.
Where to Buy Aviator Golf Balls
If you’re like most golfers, you may like adventures. You may want to try out the Aviator golf balls and judge their performance yourself. As I mentioned above, some people actually found them usable.
Target
The first place you’ll get these balls is Target. At the time of this write-up, these balls are listed for $20 at Target. Most users say they picked them up from Target.
When I searched, I couldn’t find them online at Target so maybe many of these people bought them at the physical store.
The other place to check out these golf balls is the Wilson official website.
Currently, there aren’t any listings on the site for these balls. But they are certainly among those pushing them and some users report buying from there.
Zazzle
Another store where you can find Aviator golf balls is Zazzle. When I checked though, the balls being listed don’t look like the real ones.
The balls have a generic logo on them with several spun versions so I’m not sure if they are just trying to ride the trend.
eBay
Finally, eBay is another place to check if you want to pick up used ones. There are not many deals/listings here to, so you may want to stick to the first two websites above.
There are other websites parading them but I didn’t care to check. Perhaps, you’ll find even more sources to pick them up if you’re interested.
Overall, there are many different places where you can buy aviator golf balls, both in person and online. You can choose the option that best meets your needs and preferences.
Final Words on Aviator Golf Balls
Overall, aviator golf balls are a great option for golfers of all skill levels who are looking for a high-performance ball that provides both distance and control.
With their advanced construction and aerodynamic features, these balls are designed to deliver optimal performance and help golfers of all abilities shoot lower scores.
